The Weekender


​Friday
Pitch Up - Gates will open at the Race The Tide campsite from 3pm. Campsite facilities are listed below.

Barn Kick Off -  Kick off your bank holiday weekend with friends, old and new, at the Weekender Gathering. Meet in the barn for a warm welcome from the event's host, Ewan Frost-Pennington, gather around the bonfire with your marshmallows and relax with a cool beer from the bar. BBQs will be available for BYO food. 


Saturday
Explore Muncaster
- Shake off the pre-race nerves with inclusive access to the award-winning Muncaster Castle and Grounds attraction. Amongst other unique activities, the Falconry, Castle Tours and Hawk / Owl Conservancy Trust Show are experiences not to be missed!

Race The Tide (3.30pm) - Join Cumbria’s annual Adventure Race. Olympic athlete or fair-weather jogger, as usual, this year’s re-designed 10K route promises to challenge and excite runners of all levels. Expect spectacular obstacles, exhilarating scenery, and of course, a pint of Cumberland Ale, Flapjack and a medal to help get you across the line!

Race The Tide After Party - If you’ve any energy remaining after the Race, you’re sure to burn it at the traditional Race the Tide After Party! This year look forward to Ceilidh Dancing, Hog Roast and Vegetarian Paella, DJ and Bar ‘til 2am.


Sunday
Easy Like Sunday Morning - Join us in the Barn for a recovery breakfast and enjoy the morning in the Castle Grounds. The Race the Tide Team look forward to helping you discover the area!

Escape The Castle - Adventure is our middle name, sign up your teams and get hunting for those clues, the team back in the shortest time with the most points wins a prize!

Evening Pub Quiz - Hope you've got your thinking caps on! Get into teams and join us in the Barn for the annual Pub Quiz.


Monday
Until next year - All good things come to an end, including Race the Tide 2019, we'll wish you a safe journey and hope to see you next year!

Food
A Race The Tide breakfast will be available in the Barn on Sunday. Dinner will be offered alongside the Sunday pub quiz. These extras can be purchased during registration.

​There is also a cafe and tearoom located in the castle grounds open between 11am - 4pm if you're feeling peckish.

Travel
Shuttle buses will be running on Friday and Monday to collect and drop you off at Oxenholme Station on the West Coast mainline. You can add this option at checkout.
